Frostburn is the second area in the campaign that levels take place in. Characterized by a frigid, snowy wasteland, while you encounter the same enemies from the Sun Kingdom, you also encounter new enemies that start to become more advanced, with their specials favoring gap closing. The hazard that characterizes this area is the bridge blizzard, which pushes any passing units to the left whenever the blizzard is active.

Enemies[]

The enemies encountered in this area are tier 1 bats, skullys, skully archers, zombies, vampys, and wolfys, and as bosses, a vamp boss, a tier 2 vamp, and a Ice Dragon.

The Bat is a fast and weak melee unit that rapidly hits at a very close range for its normal attack, and its special is a short-range dash that will damage multiple units.

The Vamp is a mid-ranged enemy that open his cloak to shoot a burst of four bats for his normal attack, and his special will perform a short-range dash that will damage multiple units.

The Wolf is a fast and fairly sturdy melee enemy that hit once at a close range for its normal attack, and his special will perform a mid-range dash that will damage multiple units.

The Ice Dragon is a heavyweight melee unit that whips its tail to deal damage, while its special shoots a iceball that on contact, explodes to deal area damage and can freeze affected units, immobilizing them and dealing light damage over time.

The hazard found on non-sidescrolling Frostburn levels is the blizzard at the bridge.

The blizzard will push any units to the left, friend or foe, caught in its area at a rate of 20 distance per second. This blizzard lasts for 5s and it begins every 15s.
On the top lane, the bridge starts at a distance of 780 and extends to cover a distance of 150, pushing to the left for 1s as long as the unit is in that area when the blizzard is active.
On the middle lane, the bridge starts at a distance of 730 and extends to cover a distance of 250, pushing to the left for 1s as long as the unit is in that area when the blizzard is active.
On the bottom lane, the bridge starts at a distance of 750 and extends to cover a distance of 250, pushing to the left for 1s as long as the unit is in that area when the blizzard is active.

2-8 has a stronger blizzard, however.

Difficulty Changes[]

All levels, except sidescrolling levels, will have stronger enemies to face when you replay them on a higher difficulty. Below are the modifiers applied to enemy and automatically spawning units on a higher difficulty:
